We are in search of reliable volunteers to join our team. Whether you are an experienced herbalist, just curious about herbs, or simply interested in supporting a community event, we invite you to join us in our mission to create an inspiring herbal festival for our community.
Volunteer Roles:
As a volunteer, you will play an important role in the smooth operation of the Montana Herbal Festival. Time commitments range from 3-4 hours at the event to more involved planning and preparation roles before the event. Here are some of the roles you may be involved in:
FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS:
— Volunteer during the event! —
Set-Up: Come early and help us set up the event spaces. This role will probably involve moving tables and chairs.
Registration Table Attendant: Sell and collect tickets, and provide information to festival attendees.
Raffle Table Attendant: Help set up the raffle table and sell raffle tickets.
Teacher Aide: Assist teachers during classes.
Photographer: Capture images of the event, including close-up detail shots, and overview shots of the festival. Upload and share your photos afterwards.
Floater: Fill in where needed.
Clean-Up: Stick around at the end of the festival and help put everything away, including picking up trash, moving tables and chairs.
PRE-EVENT VOLUNTEERS:
— Help out before the event! —
Volunteer Coordinator: Manage volunteer applications, assign volunteer roles, and communicate with volunteers before and during the event. This position requires a 2-3 month commitment prior to the event.
Donor Coordinator Assistant: Assist with donor communication, donor database maintenance, raffle item pick-ups, and other donor-related needs.
Flyer Distributor: Help us spread the word by distributing flyers around town, and in surrounding communities.
Raffle Basket Assistant: Help pick-up raffle items from local businesses, assemble raffle baskets and transport them to the event space.
Sign Placer: Place sandwich board signs around the event and pick them up at the end of the event.
